At the heart of Saint-Étienne Métropole, the Health and Innovations Campus offers an applied research ecosystem that is unique in France for the development of medical technologies. This is a place where the Saint-Etienne University Hospital, the Jean Monnet University Faculty of Medicine, the Healthcare Engineering Centre (CIS), the Regional Institute of Sports Medicine and Engineering (IRMIS), the PRESAGE Institute and Medtech companies can work together. This centre of expertise facilitates collaboration between students, researchers, engineers, entrepreneurs and industry.

PrediSurge is a concrete example: born on the Campus, this Saint-Etienne based start-up has developed 3D simulation software for the insertion of cardiovascular implants, capable of predicting their evolution in the patient’s body (digital twin).
